Dr. Tra Giang (Jane) Nguyen is a changemaker, especially through her niche of sports management, women empowerment and happy people initiatives. She founded “Stay Active, Happy Her, Happy Us” to inspire female university students to be active in sport and physical activity. Her vision is to positively change existing gender norms and bring communities together to raise awareness on conflict management and gender-based violence. Jane is the first person in Vietnam to teach sports from a non-physical education perspective, including courses in sports management and tourism. She organized the 2017 International Conference on Sport Management, the first ever held in Vietnam, bringing together more than 200 professors from 28 countries.
